I'm really excited to be here.
My first day on my tilde.club page. I signed up for the waiting list 5 years ago, I think. I have a bunch of questions, so I'm going to spend the next few days reading the FAQs and seeing all the stuff other folks have done here.
I wonder what I'd need to run a tilde server. Like, could it run on a raspberry pi? Could that then be set up like a piratebox so that you'd have to be in proximity to a connected router to access the tilde server. So, I could set it up in a public space for, say, 48 hours. And everyone would access almost like a captive portal, connect via SSH and create what they could in a sprint. And then, after the 48 hours is over, shut it down and mothball it like a time capsule. And keep it for 100 years. Then, power it up and people 100 years later could see all the sites and read all the writing that happened on the tiny, island, raspberry pi, pirate box, tilde server. But the people 100 years in the future could only read it for 48 hours. Then, they'd have to shut it down. And carefully wrap it in ceremonial cloth. And store it in a place of honor. And wait another 100 years to see it again. Just wondering.
